Chrona is a social calendar. It works by looking at when you and the people you choose are free, and helping you turn that into a plan. Doing that needs access to real things about your life — your calendar, your contacts, who you spend time with — so this page is specific about what we take and what we do with it.

What we collect

We do not collect precise device location. When you search for a place to meet, that search is sent to Google Places to return results; we store only the place you actually pick as part of the plan.
Google Calendar data
When you connect Google Calendar, you grant Chrona the calendar.events and calendar.readonly scopes. We use them for exactly two things:
- Reading your events, so Chrona knows when you are busy and can suggest times when the people you want to see are actually free.
- Writing events you create in Chrona back to your calendar, so a plan you make here appears where you already look.
We store a copy of your events so the app is usable without re-fetching everything on each launch, and we keep an encrypted authorisation token so syncing continues without asking you to sign in repeatedly. We subscribe to change notifications from Google so that edits made elsewhere are reflected in Chrona.
Limited Use
Chrona's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically: we do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide Chrona's features or where required by law, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, to resolve a specific support issue you have raised, for security purposes, or where required by law.
The assistant, and what leaves our systems
Chrona's assistant is powered by a third-party large language model. When you send it a message, the message and the context needed to answer it — which can include event titles, times, and the names of people in your plan — are sent to that model provider to generate a reply.
This is the one place where information about your plans leaves our infrastructure in order for a feature to work. If you would rather that not happen, do not use the assistant; the rest of Chrona works without it.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- People you invite. Someone you add to a plan sees the plan, the other people on it, and your display name and photo.
- Anyone with a share link you create, for as long as you leave that link active. You can revoke it.
- Service providers that run the product: Google Cloud (infrastructure and databases), Firebase (sign-in, notifications), and the assistant model provider described above.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Chrona's servers and databases are hosted in Google Cloud in Singapore (asia-southeast1). Data is encrypted in transit. Calendar authorisation tokens are encrypted at rest.
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your profile, your events, your contacts, your circles, and your assistant history, and we revoke the calendar connections you granted. Some records may persist briefly in backups before ageing out on their normal schedule.
Your choices
- Disconnect a calendar at any time in Chrona's settings. You can also revoke Chrona's access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Turn off contact sync in your device's permission settings.
- Turn off notifications in your device settings or in Chrona.
- Delete your account from within the app. This is permanent.
- Ask us at support@chronaworld.com for a copy of your data or for it to be corrected or erased.
Children
Chrona is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
